They are used for medium-high voltages in non oxidizing environments.
The quantity of tungsten in the alloy provides it with an excellent resistance to electric arc wear.

- Contacts for oxidizing environment

They are used for medium voltages also for oxidizing environment.
The quantity of Silver in the alloy improves its conductibility but reduces its resistance to electric arc wear.
